A classically trained musician, Mr Topple brings a unique attitude to his work. Offering analytical and technically in-depth takes on music, his written reviews have been hailed by many industry professionals as the best in the business. So, he’ll be transferring those skills to the show – bringing you interviews with the biggest acts on the planet, old and new music and his own, groundbreaking mix.
Mr Topple says:
“Music is often seen as divisive – with people arguing over style, substance and genre. But actually, it should be viewed as the great unifier. It would be difficult to find one person on Earth who doesn’t like music. It has the power to change; to heal and to unite us. So, with that in mind I wanted to bring you a show that unites all genres of music whose roots are in Africa. But also, songs that have political and social meaning, too. Our world is in chaos. Music is the key to restoring calm – but also for finally changing society and the planet for good, and for the benefit of all, not just a few.”

Mr Topple and Pauzeradio wish to extend thanks to Kardi Tivali for his excellent vocal work on the Topple UnPauzed theme music. The riddim is thanks to producer Sammy Beatz; you can subscribe to his YouTube channel here. Extra special thanks must go to Mr Topple’s partner, Nicola Jeffery who wrote the lyrics for the theme music. And of course, all the artists, producers and agents who’ve been involved with the project. Final audio engineering by Gav Pauze.
Episode Two will be a New Year Special – on 30 December 2020 at 5pm. But until then – #StayPauzed!
