Sizzla
Sizzla Kalonji Biography: Sizzla Kalonji, aka Sizzla, was born Miguel Orlando Collins on April 17, 1976, in the Scotts Hall community, St Mary, Jamaica to devout Rastafarian parents. Like his parents, Sizzla follows the Bobo Ashanti branch of the movement. He is well known as a prolific and influential figure in the world of reggae music. His stage name, “Sizzla,” was derived from the Rastafarian term “Sizzla,” which means “burning” or “to burn.” The culture and music of Jamaica deeply influenced Sizzla’s early life. Raised in the August Town neighbourhood of Kingston, he was exposed to reggae and dancehall music
