DJ Pauze aka Gav Pauze

DJ Pauze aka Gav Pauze Biography: DJ Pauze otherwise known as Gav Pauze started playing Jungle/Drum & Bass in 1995, playing clubs in England and Scotland. He studied music at Clarendon College (Midlands) in 1998 where he became a qualified audio engineer. His passion and drive for music was clear and the works progressed to playing Reggae on the radio featuring strictly positive, uplifting Reggae Roots and Dub with the “Unique Reggae Mix Show” based in London, UK in 2006. The popularity of the radio show grew and started featuring on stations in the USA from 2007, Germany & Philippines

Dubtonic Kru

The founding members of Dubtonic Kru are Deleon “Jubba” White and Strickland “Stone” Stone, a dynamic Drum & Bass duo who, over the years have contributed to the development of modern roots reggae. Imagine heavy baselines, one drops, psychedelic guitar riffs, echoing keyboards, popping percussion and conscious lyrics. Now imagine roots reggae, imagine dub, rock… Put them all together and you get a new breed of Jamaican music called DubTonic Kru Like their style of music, Dubtonic is a mixture of two words “DUB”, relating to the heavy drum and bass aspect of reggae music and “TONIC”, referring to medicine.

Eljai

Eljai was born Lloyd Carlton McFarlane Jr. in Belize City, Belize. Soon after, his family moved to the countryside where most of his early years were spent. He has always been known for his humble and kind ways, joyous laughter and his spiritual enlightening conversations. Faianatur was born on the 10th February 1977 to a Tunisian father and a French mother, in Grasse, the world’s capital of perfumes, in south-eastern France. When he was young, he showed a keen interest in music and art in general. At the age of fifteen, he began writing his first lyrics and would regularly sing in concert bars around Marseille. At the age of seventeen, he recorded an album with 13em cercle but at that particular time the only thing that really interested him was the stage. I-Shenko was born John Mckenzie on the 20th of May 1984 in the parish of Kingston & St. Andrew, but grew up in St. Catherine dwelling most of his life between Portmore and Spanish Town. At a tender age he developed a love of writing poems and later converted these poems to rap, while attending St. Jago High School in Spanish Town I-Shenko and some friends formed a Hip-Hop group called “No Douth Family” and recorded their first demo at the Kingswell Recording Studio in Spanish Town. Omar Allanzo Johnson stage name Jallanzo (musician, singer, song writer, producer, studio engineer, music composer and arranger) Born 24th of May 1981 of a Dreamland Drive Old Breaton Portmore address. He attended the Mount Concord Basic School, Grateful Hill Primary School and Breaton All Age School (currently Breaton Junior High School). It was in church where he discovered his love for music. Ras Tewelde, born in Italy, started his artistic experience at the age of 14 with one of the first Italian reggae band: Living In The Ghetto, where he was one of the three singers. From 1998 to 2002 he have been touring Italy, participating to several festivals, including the Rototom Sunsplash. In the years, he came closer to the Rastafari faith and ultimately the ancient land of Ethiopia. In 2004, Tewelde was for the first time in Mama Land, where collaborated with the singer Dawit Geletu in the song and videoclip “Belsrà”, which remained for long time at the top

Dub Akom Band is a consistent backing band from Marseille, France. Established in 2002 by Faby (bass) & David (drums), joined later by Claude (keyboard), Titi (guitar), Stef (keyboard), and Laurent (sound engineer). Dub Akom provides services for artists of various styles from roots reggae to dancehall, whilst bringing together all sectors of Jamaican music. Starting as a Dub formula, the band quickly linked with international artists and then began to acquire a serious name in Europe as a backing band. The collaborations over the years have been diverse, leading the band to work with the most popular reggae/dancehall artists

In 2011 Gisto made his first journey to the Fatherland of Reggae Music: Jamaica. He arrived with no hotel, no contacts and no idea what he would find there – just a desire to connect with the music and culture that influenced his life.
