Omar Allanzo Johnson stage name Jallanzo (musician, singer, song writer, producer, studio engineer, music composer and arranger)

Born 24th of May 1981 of a Dreamland Drive Old Breaton Portmore address. He attended the Mount Concord Basic School, Grateful Hill Primary School and Breaton All Age School (currently Breaton Junior High School). It was in church where he discovered his love for music. At age five he had a toy guitar that he was fascinated with; is interest grew stronger. At the age of thirteen he made his own drum set with old buckets, pans and pots which attracted a lot of attention throughout the community. He called it The Pan Vision One Man Band which made him start performing on stage shows, island wide. On many occasions he shared the stage with popular artist such as Mad Cobra, Anthony B, Ninja Man etc.

Jallanzo was discovered by Mr. Henry a.k.a. Fred Locks a guitarist and studio engineer. Henry taught him recording engineering and how to play the guitar, it was there he met John Mouse who taught him to play a real drum set.

At the age of fifteen Jallanzo realised he could sing and write songs but it was not until age twenty before he took it serious. He began entering competition and a number of shows locally to gain popularity. At this time he started recording is creative ideas.

To date Jallanzo has worked with some of Jamaica’s fine musicians and singers. This list includes Max Romeo, Luciano, Jimmy Riley, Frankie Paul, Mad Cobra, Sizzla, Warrior King, Vice Roys, Might Diamonds, I Jah Man Levi, The Congos and many more. In 2006 he began touring and opening shows for I Jah Man Levi, Might Diamonds, Max Romeo, Jah Mason, Lutan Fyah, and Fantan Mojah; also many European and Caribbean (festivals and concerts).

Jallanzo is now performing with the Dubtonic Kru locally and internationally and now based at Charmax Music working at the Red Ark Studio. Music is his life and his life is music.
