Uplifting Roots Reggae Mix – Press Release

Uplifting Roots Reggae Mix – Press Release by Mr Topple for Pauzeradio.com. Society and the world are unsettling places at present. With the impact of the coronavirus pandemic still reverberating across the planet, classism and racism on the rise and political and social leaders either bereft of ideas or wilfully ignorant – who do we turn to for emotional, philosophical and spiritual succour? Family, friends and communities should be high up the list. But music should be also. It’s an art form that unites us as humans, regardless of our perceived differences. Roots is one such genre that has the

Subajah – Back 2 Da Future – Review

Subajah: Back 2 Da Future Single Review by Mr Topple for Pauzeradio.com. No time machine in sight when Subajah recently dropped his latest cut and the accompanying visuals. ‘Great Scott!’ I hear you cry. And rightly so. As the track is another power-move from this talented artist. Subajah Back 2 Da Future, released via Dashen Records, sees Subajah and producers First Eye Productions create an interesting and pertinent take around the theme of the late 80s/early 90s film series of a similar name. It’s an ostensibly Roots/Dub affair, with varying levels of musical devices in play that drive the sound

Inner Terrestrial Riddim Review

Inner Terrestrial Riddim – Review

Various artists: Inner Terrestrial Riddim review – Steve Topple for Pauzeradio.com. 2020 has had a promising start for riddims, with cuts from the likes of Seani B and Bost & Bim showing that, with some real technical skill and a bit of magic, the art is still alive and kicking. The seven interpretations by different artists all come with their own merits. But the basic instrumental riddim itself is quite an interesting

Subajah – Architect – Review

Subajah Architect Review. When it comes to authentic roots reggae Subajah is certainly defining himself in that category, and this latest album release does more than prove that to be true. A solid mix of deep, meaningful, message lyrics, performed excellently and accompanied with incredible musical instruments, all produced to the highest of quality. It’s easy to hear that real instruments are used to create this masterpiece that is Architect. The structure and composition help to create a vibration that I feel, is what roots reggae is all about, upliftment with truth, rights, faith and real life experiences. The album
