Pressure Busspipe, also known as Pressure, is an experienced reggae musician celebrated for his commanding performance, mindful songwriting, and distinctive vocal style. Delyno Brown, born on August 5, 1981, on the island of St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, has gained worldwide acclaim for his accomplishments.

The beginning
Early on in his life, Pressure was inspired by the rich musical vibrations of the Caribbean. He heard reggae, dancehall, calypso, and soca as a child growing up in St. Thomas. His musical aspirations were shaped by the likes of Bob Marley, Dennis Brown, Peter Tosh, and Buju Banton.

Growth
In the early 2000s, Pressure started his musical career, first playing on neighbourhood stages and becoming well-known throughout the Virgin Islands. His conscious lyrics and unique voice attracted attention, earning him a devoted following both at home and abroad.

Pressure’s breakthrough happened in 2005 with the release of his debut album, “The Pressure Is On.” The reggae album had influences of soul, R&B, and hip-hop, and demonstrated his artistic flexibility. Some of the songs became anthems, like “Love and Affection,” “Love and War,” and “Ghetto Life,” helping him grow his fan base and become a well-known reggae artist locally.

Continuing to rise
With more albums and collaborations after the success of his debut album, Pressure continued establishing himself in the industry. The second album, “Love and Affection,” (2007), increased his fan base internationally and got praised for showcasing his compassion and singing prowess even more.

Pressure has worked with many established reggae artists over his career, such as Gyptian, Tarrus Riley, and Damian Marley. Together with growing his discography, this has helped him stabilise his position in the genre.
