VC

VC, born Valton Craigie, exploded onto the Reggae scene in 2000 with his infectious first single, “By His Deeds”. The song became a runaway success and an instant Reggae classic, holding the #1 position on Reggae charts Worldwide for as long as 8 weeks. Since that time, the song has been voted a Top 100 Reggae Song of All Time.

The success of this song led him to performances at Air Jamaica Jazz & Blues, Reggae Sumfest, Rebel Salute, Bob Marley Memorial and Peter Tosh Memorial concerts, among others, in Jamaica, as well as numerous TV performances. VC was also given the opportunity to tour such places as England, USA, UAE, Canada, and the Caribbean, where his energetic, heartfelt performances received rave reviews.

VC had taken some time off to be with his new born son, but had continued to write and record his own brand of socially conscious Reggae & World music, working with the likes of Beres Hammond, Rupert Bent (formerly of Third World), Diego Jamstone of Italy, among others. Singles, such as the Harmony House produced “Friday”, the Renaissance produced “It’s Time”, and Jamstone produced “No New World Order” have been released and are receiving critical acclaim Worldwide. The brand new release “Rise”, on the Dub Inc. produced “Better Run” riddim is already creating waves and expected to be a major hit. As a result, VC is on the verge of releasing his first, and long awaited album later this year.

In order to support this album, tentatively titled “Love Life”, VC will be embarking on a campaign to bring back the glory days of Reggae music and his message of peace, love and justice for all to his fans and music lover Worldwide. Tour dates will be announced shortly.
