Nesbeth Taste VictoryNesbeth – Taste Victory (Entertainment Soul, London, UK) – Review by Gav Pauze 05/07/14

Nesbeth’s latest release “Taste Victory” is the first release for London, UK based company “Entertainment Soul” and this is music for our heart, mind and soul.

The subject of this song is strong and poetic. The title says it all really, I feel anyone that’s worked hard or working hard to achieve their goals, ambitions and dreams will really relate to this song, I know I certainly do. Nesbeth delivers his message in a very strong, powerful and passionate performance, reassuring us that we can achieve everything we set our minds out to do by working hard and not giving up, everything is always possible. It’s a very positive and inspiring message he sends to us which highlights the struggles of life but empowers us to continue through everything no matter what arises or steps into our path, giving us the listener strength and power in abundance. “Been through the worst of my worst days now I can taste victory” the chorus resonates in our mind.

The production on this Roots Reggae single is of a very high standard. Entertainment Soul hailing from London UK have really worked hard to bring us this great quality production and I am looking forward to hearing more from them. The riddim rolls smoothly and is mixed perfectly with the vocals which both compliment each other helping drive the message into our minds deeper. It is a classic Roots style riddim made with a combination of instruments sounding like a live band have made it, so refreshing to hear, which creates a beautiful musical and magical flow, again complimenting Nesbeth’s vocals, lyrical content and his overall performance. The vocals have been kept clean with little to no effect on allowing us to hear his true sound that distinctively holds a lot of soul and passion.

Overall I have to say this is a fantastic release, a certain must buy for all the lovers of real positive Reggae music, upliftment in musical form. The combination of passionate performance, inspiring, real life lyrical content and tight production all make it to be a perfect song for featuring in the Unique Reggae Mix Show radio show.
