Micah Shemaiah Roots I Vision Press Release

Micah Shemaiah presents his 4th album titled “Roots I Vision” in collaboration with the Swiss label Evidence Music, after the success of “Original Dread”, “Jah Love”, and “Dread At The Control”. The new album resonates with sounds from Geneva musicians of 18th Parallel (Najavibes – Fruits Records). The roots album echoes the golden age of Reggae with a vibe familiar to the leading artists of this period, such as Black Uhuru or Gregory Isaac.

A regular feature in the Unique Reggae Mix Show, here on Pauzeradio.com, Micah Shemaiah Roots I Vision album is welcomed with joy and open arms. Authentic roots reggae at its best, we are sure this album will be loved by our listeners and supporters on a worldwide scale.

“Roots I Vision” was mixed in Munich by Umberto Echo, encompassing an 80’s sound that few records have nowadays. The production brings Micah Shemaiah’s voice to a new dimension and highlights the talent of the Jamaican roots reggae artiste.

Micah Shemaiah’s authenticity and cultural values to his artistry are prominent with each song of the album. Recorded with the use of various vintage live instruments, such as Simmons drums, synthesiser, and snare, this concept album promises to be one of strength in quality reggae music releases for 2018.
The album pays homage to his foundation as a leader in the revival of Jamaican roots reggae. Conscious and motivated, Micah’s expression through music encourages the empowerment of young people and disadvantaged people worldwide.

A word from Micah Shemaiah: “Roots I Vision is based on my own experience and the way I see the world. Roots music is the cornerstone of my spirituality. Although marginalised, it remains faithful, conscious and authentic. This spirituality is for me a necessity for my music to live through the ages.”
