King Kong In The Old Capital EP Press Release

King Kong has been a regular feature in the Unique Reggae Mix Show, here on Pauzeradio.com, since its inception in 2006. With great response from the listeners worldwide, we know that this EP will be well received too. A quality combination of vocal and dub tracks, keeping up to the high standards of production we all expect from a reggae legend.

When a living legend of reggae music passes through the old town.

This Ep is the result of the collaboration between King Kong and Judi K. There is no need to introduce King Kong to any reggae lover across the world. He is a legendary artist from the 90’s and known to have big tunes released with King Tubby’s Firehouse Crew, he also knew more international hype with Bobby Konders on the Massive B label with hit tunes like “Rumble Jumble Life” and “Jah is my best friend”.

Judi K has been involved with reggae music since the late 90’s as a riddim builder and sound engineer for many labels and Selectors. He created the label “Old Capital” in 2005, releasing some 45’s like “Rasta Pickney” and the “Togetherness” riddim, featuring known artists like Turbulence, Lutan Fyah and Fantan Mojah. He then released several series on other labels (like “Da 1 Yah song” by Lutan Fyah on Da1yah records, “Eyes on my purpose riddim” on Ghetto Scorp music, or “the house of the rising sun riddim on Dubsquad Records).

Back in the Old Capital today, King Kong passes through the reggae music district and signs here the 1st Ep of a series called “in the old capital”. Digiroots lovers hear this!

The official release for King Kong In The Old Capital is on the 26th of May and available on all major download and streaming platforms! A 12″ vinyl will also be released, the date set for that release is July 2017.
