Dionne Reid is a charismatic singer songwriter from South London. Born to a family of non musicians, Dionne found her voice whilst in secondary school.
Soon after her discovery, singing instantly became a form of release for singer Dionne Reid. Regular performances at open mic shows allowed Dionne the chance to connect with an audience and introduce her to the music scene. Her sweet sounding, laid back vocals fused with fantastic energy makes her one not to miss live. Dionne’s music is a refreshing fusion of contemporary soul and reggae. Her musical influences include the likes of Lauryn Hill, Stevie Wonder and Bob Marley to name a few.
Dionne’s music has been supported BBC Radio 6’s Tom Robinson, as well as Fearne Cotton, Scott Mills, Huw Stephens and Jo Whitley from Radio 1 and BBC1xtra. She was made BBC Radio 1’s Artist of the Week and her single ‘Daddy Dear’ was play listed on the network with them describing her music as “refreshing, honest music with a beautiful tone”.
A regular live performer, Dionne has graced the stage at countless live showcases and events, supporting artists like U.S Songstress Teedra Moses in concert and she is no stranger to some of the United Kingdoms biggest festivals including Glastonbury, Wireless, Love box and T4 on the beach.
