Denno

Denno, born Denrick Alando Pinnock was born in Halse Hall Clarendon on April 28. Denno’s exposure to music came at an early age while hanging out with his father who owns a popular sound system name Killer Vicious, and as such was exposed to a variety of music across all genres.

At age 8 he was given the mike at a local stage show where he proceeded to “mash up the place” with his energetic rendition of “Good Nutrition & Education.”

Singer/Songwriter Denno is currently sign to Master One Production, where he has previously worked with Earth Production Promotional label. Where he has done a collaboration with singer Ojah, song entitled “Prayer for the Haitians” which has been heavily rotated both local and internationally. They have revamped a music video for the title song Prayer for the Haitians.

Denno is now looking forward to release his first single on the Master One Production label called “Make It”. He was inspired by real life events happening in the world today and its consequences on the environment in a negative way. The Bridgeport High School graduate writes all his materials which are done on a significant level which will empower and motivates the wider cross section of the world.

Denno’s smooth vocal laid over heavy rhythms spewing socially conscious lyrics which saw him winning the popular reggae talent trail at the tender age of 13. At the age of 15 he lost his mother through natural causes and he seeks not to turn his focus from the music. This however instill much more confident in his approach and meditation to life and is uplifting lyrics that has helped him to plot songs such has “gone too soon” which was recorded as a result of his mothers passing, “Dem nuh Real” and the inspirational song “Jah a Guide me”.

Denno is one of the younger generations of the social commentary era and is expected to evolve in his craft to continue to uplift the nation. He has always been encouraged and patterns him self on some Jamaica’s musical icons of yester years and present on there approach and work that they have done artists such as Bob Marley, Cocoa Tea, Richie Spice, Queen Ifrica and Buju Banton. Denno has now taken on the world with his conscious and elevating lyrics waiting on his turn in the field to showcase his talent. Now that he as taken this step he will be among the many talents and prevailing in his own rights the dedication and artistic skills.
